INTIMATE STRUCTURES

 

Intimate structures are characterized by sensuality and a kind of provocation. This is not pure biology, but rather a subliminal message aimed at breaking taboos and stereotypes. The male element is represented by angular forms. They are often softened by the female element, more liquid forms. I show that our sexuality does not have to be shy. Stripping away taboos but not directly. The clay guides me, so every feeling that influenced the shape of the sculpture is a reflection of the inner truth, sometimes unconscious. With a sculpture, I talk about anger, joy, and tensions. I absorb from the world around me, from people, forms and nature. I let the clay remember. I am giving back what I received. It’s an intimate, natural bond.
